The Gate

  1. Owner-driver convoys. Southern Algeria. November, annually. Five vehicles maximum — past five, dune recovery and camp discipline degrade. Applications are read, not counted.
  2. Organised privately for a limited group. Not offered to the general public.
  3. Subsequent corridors are announced to alumni first.
  4. A first Sahara is not a disqualification. A prepared vehicle and camp discipline are what count.

Correspondence follows by email. Comprehensive cover on your vehicle, and travel insurance in the name of each crew member covering medical treatment, emergency evacuation and repatriation, are conditions of the convoy — verified before departure and again at the assembly point. Overlanding Voyages Ltd insures neither participants nor their vehicles.
