The basis
Convoys are organised occasionally, for a limited group, and are not offered to the general public. Participants contribute to shared costs. Overlanding Voyages Ltd takes no profit.
Cover
Comprehensive cover on your vehicle, valid for the territories of the crossing, with territorial extensions where required. Travel insurance in the name of each crew member, including medical treatment, emergency evacuation and repatriation. Both are verified before departure and again at the assembly point. Conditions, not suggestions. Overlanding Voyages Ltd insures neither participants nor their vehicles.
Ferry, flights and accommodation are not sold or arranged. Each participant books their own. That is the design: your crossing stays yours.
The framework
Operating framework in build to BS 8848, the British Standard for organising ventures overseas. Risk register, evacuation plan, medical and communication protocols. The paperwork nobody sees, done as if everybody will.
Equipment
Lead vehicle carries: winch and full recovery kit, rated points front and rear. Satellite communications, authorised in-country through the licensed agency. Trauma-level first aid kit. Fuel and water margin for the convoy’s worst day.
