OV provides

  • Convoy coordination.
  • Corridor knowledge, current.
  • Communications infrastructure.

You arrange

  • Your vehicle and its preparation.
  • The ferry crossing.
  • Flights.
  • Accommodation.
  • Fuel.
  • Food.
  • Your travel, medical and evacuation insurance.
  • Your visa fee.
Cover

Comprehensive cover on your vehicle. Travel, medical and evacuation insurance in your name. Both are verified before departure. Conditions, not suggestions. Overlanding Voyages Ltd insures neither participants nor their vehicles.

Ferry, flights and accommodation are not sold or arranged. Each participant books their own. That is the design: your crossing stays yours.

The framework

Operating framework in build to BS 8848, the British Standard for organising ventures overseas. Framework in build: risk register, evacuation planning, medical protocol, communications plan. The paperwork nobody sees, done as if everybody will.

Equipment

Lead vehicle carries: winch and full recovery kit, rated points front and rear. Satellite communications — the authorisation travels in the ground file. Trauma-level first aid kit. Fuel and water margin for the convoy’s worst day.
